Contracts Manager Staffing for Data Centre Projects

Entitlement is won by records, not arguments. We recruit Contracts Managers who administer the contract properly from day one.

What a Contracts Manager does

A Contracts Manager owns the administration of the main contract and key subcontracts: early warnings, compensation events, extensions of time, loss and expense, and the correspondence trail that supports them.

On Data Centre programmes with compressed schedules and heavy client-driven change, disciplined contract administration is often the difference between a settled account and a dispute.

The role works alongside the commercial and planning teams to link delay, disruption and cost into a defensible position, and advises project leadership on risk before decisions are made.

Typical range

£70–95K base (permanent) or £450–600 / day on contract

Core responsibilities

  • Administer NEC and JCT contracts and subcontracts
  • Manage early warnings, compensation events and notices
  • Prepare and defend extension of time and loss and expense claims
  • Advise project leadership on contractual risk and entitlement
  • Support dispute avoidance, adjudication and settlement

Why hire through Cx Recruit

We screen for contract administration that actually happened on time, verified against named projects and forms of contract.

We know which candidates have carried live claims through adjudication and which have only assisted.

FAQs

Is a Contracts Manager a commercial or a delivery role?

On Data Centre projects it is usually commercial — contract administration, entitlement and claims — rather than the operational site-management version of the title used in some sectors.

Which contracts should candidates know?

NEC3 and NEC4 above all in the UK and Ireland, plus JCT and bespoke owner forms on hyperscale programmes.

Do you place contract or permanent Contracts Managers?

Both. Contract specialists are frequently brought in for a defined claim or account settlement, while permanent hires build in-house capability.
