Commercial Director Appointments for Data Centre Programmes
What a Commercial Director does
A Commercial Director owns commercial strategy and performance across a portfolio: bid selectivity, contract terms accepted at the front end, supply chain framework agreements, and the reported position across every live project.
The role builds and resources the commercial function, sets governance and delegated authority, and is accountable to the board or ownership for margin, cash and contractual exposure.
On hyperscale programmes it also carries the client relationship at senior level, where consistency of terms across multiple halls or campuses is worth more than a win on any single account.

Are these searches advertised?
Rarely. Most senior commercial appointments are approached directly and handled confidentially.
What timescale should we expect?
Typically four to eight weeks to a credible shortlist, given the small pool and the need for discretion.
