Lead Scheduler Staffing for Data Centre Programs
What a Lead Scheduler does
A Lead Scheduler owns the master CPM schedule across a multi-hall or multi-site Data Centre program, integrating subcontractor and trade schedules into one logic-sound structure and resolving conflicts before they surface on site. They set the scheduling standard — coding structure, baseline discipline, update cadence — that junior schedulers on the program follow.
The role carries direct interface with the owner's project controls team and the general contractor's leadership, presenting schedule risk, critical path narrative and recovery plans when a program slips. Lead Schedulers also lead schedule risk analysis and what-if scenario modeling ahead of major decisions.
This is a senior individual-contributor or first-line-management role depending on program size, but always carries accountability for the master schedule's integrity.
Typical range
£70–95K base (permanent) or £475–625 / day on contract
